Current Studies
Visualization of Erythema through the Optiview Transparent Dressing across Diverse Skin Tones
The Sonenblum Clinical Research Group (SCRG) is looking for participants for a new research study. We are investigating technologies that can be used to measure skin health. We are interested in how well these devices will work under different lights, with different wound dressings, and across different skin tones.
We will test the devices by taking measurements of your lower back across the varied conditions, and then once more after applying a small amount of pressure to make your skin turn red. The pressure might be uncomfortable, but it will not hurt. All of the measurements are non-invasive. Most work like a camera and will not touch your skin, and one requires light contact for approximately one second. The redness should go away within one hour.
